Project 17
TITLE: Gesture Controlled Rover
Description:
The project entitled "Gesture Controlled Rover" used MMA7361L, a three axis Accelerometer as a sensor. The Robot is a differential drive mobile robot that takes hand gestures as input and navigates accordingly. Genie C20 (PIC 16F677) as a microcontroller in which the analog input from accelerometer is converted to digital form and is processed accordingly to control the motors of the robot.
Results:
The new thing that I have experienced while working on this project is interfacing the accelerometer to a micro controller. In this project I uesd Genie Design Studio for programming the micro controller which uses flow chart based programming. The graphical user interface on Genie Design Studio helped me in debugging and testing the code easily.
